BenAdmin Customization

We never offer an out-of-the-box BenAdmin solution to our clients. Customization is not an upgrade, but a part of our core product. Your company can gain immediate insight with ad hoc reporting not available in many systems. That’s why we work so closely with your HR benefits team during implementation to discover and solve online benefits enrollment and employee benefits administration challenges that your company faces. As a result we are able to create unique solutions such as Paid Time Off or Body Mass Index (BMI) calculations, resulting in being able to determine actual benefit costs at the employee level.

Some other customizations we have created for clients include:

  • Ability to reconfigure deduction amount if payroll frequency changes.
  • Ability to separate Approved and Applied-For Voluntary Benefits (e.g., each employee receives $35K in life insurance, but can apply for additional coverage).
  • Non-Benefit Eligible (CIS – Change in Status), ability to manage TSAs for Employees who are not eligible for mainstream benefits.
  • Effective/Termination Dates, ability to track benefit dates by Employee and dependent.
  • Ability to manage benefit elections by Class/Subclass codes. Codes may change or stay the same year to year, without a definite rule for maintenance.
  • COBRA, ability administer COBRA processing for employees on Leave of Absence (LOA).
  • Generate Change Notices/Notifications based on status change or anticipated return from LOA.
  • TSA/FSA Contribution Limits, ability to calculate maximum contribution based on salary and government regulations.
  • Ability to manage benefits and elections when Fiscal Year differs from Benefit Year.
  • Ability to manage Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs).
  • Ability to generate letters/notices as part of regular workflow.
  • Ability to extract and load data from outside sources.
  • Married Spouse Processing, ability to recognize and track married spouses working at the Board as they receive discounted rates.
  • Ability to manage multiple pay schedules/frequencies and provide data extracts for changes.
  • Ability to track and report Post- and Pre-Tax Benefits.
